Whats-Nü? 

Glad you asked.

Whats-Nü is a bridge between select independent designers, artists and artisans (our "Crü") and the desires of our clientele in Davis Square and the surrounding community, with the goal of forging an enjoyable, useful, and always refreshing bond.  

While our emphasis is on women's and men's apparel and accessories, we also offer an eclectic mix of gender-neutral accessories, paintings, photography, cards, candles, leather goods....the list always varies with the Crü onboard.  

We also strive to offer goods that are designed and/or made in the USA, are eco-friendly and socially responsible.

To ensure a more complete shopping experience, we also complement our Crü's work as necessary with additional lines that prove to meet our customers' needs.

We want our customers to leave the store with a smile (at least.)

While Whats-Nü gives our Crü an outlet to showcase their wares, everyone benefits from:

• Customization and personalization not found in many retail establishments

• A staff trained to provide a great experience

Many of the Crü members are established, yet will often offer one-of-a-kind or small collections not available elsewhere.  In addition, those in our Crü rotate frequently, so there's constantly something fresh to explore. 

All Crü members must be approved by our editorial team, and meet our standards for quality and design integrity, meaning it must first and foremost be highly functional, but also have that "je ne sais quoi" that uniquely identifies each creator.

The proprietor of Whats-Nü, Lena Gorczyca, has earned a reputation as a well-respected designer and seamstress in Davis Square over the last four years, and gained a significant and satisfied clientele.  Getting to know the wants and needs of the community continues to be one of her goals, and has helped her marry the desires of the community with the items carried by Whats-Nü.
